Arthur Pearlman

Chairman of the Board


Arthur Pearlman is Chairman of the Board of Advisors of Landmark Equity Properties and Chairman of the Arthur Pearlman Corporation that is the developer of 41 mixed use shopping centers throughout California.  Previously, Mr. Pearlman was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Riley/Pearlman Crow Company, a joint venture with Trammell Crow Company. He started his 38-year career of Real Estate Development as Founder and Co-President of the Riley / Pearlman Company during which time he developed and owned 6,000,000 square feet of commercial space leased to America’s leading retailers. Mr. Pearlman holds a California Real Estate Broker License.  He received a BS in Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Presidential/Key Executive Program. He served as Dean of the International Council of Shopping Centers Real Estate Development Program at Wharton Graduate School of Business where he spent 20 years teaching Real Estate Development.  Additionally, Mr. Pearlman taught real estate development at the USC Lusk School and at the UCLA Andersen Graduate School of Management. Mr. Pearlman is the 2010 recipient of the Lifetime Distinguished Leadership and Service Award from the International Council of Shopping Centers and he is a past Chairman of the Board and President of the California Business Properties Association and a former member the Board of Directors of the UCLA Andersen Graduate School of Management Real Estate Alumni Association.

Mark Wittcoff

President and Chief Executive Officer

Mark Wittcoff is President and Chief Executive Officer of Landmark Equity Properties, a real estate asset management and consulting firm that he founded in 2016.  He has 32 years of experience managing every type of property for owners and developers throughout the United States.  Previously, he was Managing Director of Investor Relations at Standard Management Company, a national commercial real estate investment firm established in 1961.  Mark holds the Certified Fund Manager (CFM) and the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designations, and he received a BS in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and he studied Management at Harvard Extension School.  He is featured in the Top 100 People in Real Estate 2019 Magazine and he serves on the Board of UCLA Health System and on the Board of Jewish National Fund in Los Angeles.

Michael Dotterer

Senior Vice President of Development

Michael Dotterer joined Landmark Equity Properties in 2016 as Senior Vice President of Development and he advises our clients on property marketing strategy, project leasing and social media engagement.  Mike has 30 years of experience in marketing as the founder of 401 Network and multiple successful ventures.  He received a BA in Public Policy from Stanford University, an MPA from Columbia University and studied economic history at the London School of Economics.  Mike is the former Vice President of the United Nations Business Council and past President of the NFL Alumni Northern California Chapter. He is a member of the 1984 NFL Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Raiders and a member of the Stanford University Athletics Hall of Fame.

Eroca Kay

Vice President and Broker

Eroca Kay is a licensed real estate broker in California who joined Landmark Equity Properties in 2016 as Vice President and Broker.  She has 35 years of commercial and residential real estate brokerage and management experience representing owners and occupants of every type of property in investment sales and lease transactions throughout Southern California.  Eroca studied Communications at the University of California Los Angeles and she was recently recognized as a Life Member of the Greater Los Angeles Board of Realtors and she is a member of the Palm Springs Board of Realtors.

William Vicente

Vice President of Operations

Bill Vicente joined Landmark Equity Properties in 2016 as Vice President of Operations following his retirement from 33 years of service as a police officer.  He received numerous awards for his service in law enforcement and he has extensive investigative experience.  Bill supports the firm's due diligence assignments and he represents our client's interests with municipal government agencies.  He has served as a private security consultant to office and retail building owners since 1980.  He received a BA in Music Education from Webster University and he is an accomplished professional musician.

Max Levin

Asset Manager

Max Levin joined Landmark Equity Properties in 2020 as a part-time Asset Manager who is employed as a Financial Analyst in the rotational finance and business management program at JP Morgan Chase & Co.  He received a BA in Financial Economics from Columbia University where he formed his own hedge fund that raised $250,000 and he recently won the New York City Founder's Live Pitch Competition.  Prior to attending Columbia, Max served as a Special Forces Paratrooper in Israel's Defense Forces.  In 2014, he received the Purple Heart and the Defense Minister's Award of Excellence for his actions in combat as a squad commander in Operation Protective Edge.  Max is the author of Under the Stretcher, a book about his experience in the Gaza-Israeli war published by Red Penguin Books that will be released in 2020.

Joel Rosenthal

Asset Manager

Joel Rosenthal joined Landmark Equity Properties in 2020 as an Asset Manager and Research Analyst.  Previously, he was a Principal Designer at Theravision Health Informatics, a medical technology start-up company working with Jacobs Medical Center in San Diego, and he subsequently was selected for the Southern California Real Estate Alliance Mentorship Program.  Joel received a BS in Cognitive Science with a minor in Linguistics from the University of California San Diego.  During college, he was a student researcher in the Center for Research in Language and the UC San Diego Design Lab performing research in collaboration with SAP and Qualcomm.

Alberto Tapia

Security Manager


Alberto Tapia joined Landmark Equity Properties in 2020 as Security Manager for Property Safety and Security. He is a University of Southern California Police Officer and a Reserve Los Angeles Police Officer with 15 years of service. Alberto is a California Certified Cities for Peace Ambassador for at-risk gang intervention programs with specialized training in community relations and crime prevention. He received a Criminal Justice certificate from College of the Canyons and he is a former Police Youth Cadet Advisor. Additionally, Alberto is a member of the Los Angeles Police Department Boxing Team who competes in charity events for the benefit of Special Olympics and City of Hope Cancer Research Hospital.

Samuel Freshman

Chairman , Standard Management Company

Sam Freshman is Chairman, CEO and Founder of Standard Management Company, a national real estate investment and management firm established in 1961.  He is an attorney who is Chairman Emeritus of Stanford Professionals in Real Estate and he is the author of Principals of Real Estate Syndication and five additional books about business and financial management.  He is a graduate of Stanford University and Stanford University Law School.  Mr. Freshman's firm owns and manages a substantial portfolio of multi-family, retail and office properties in the Western United States and he provides secured bridge and gap lending to commercial property owners.  Mr. Freshman advises our clients as a consultant on acquisitions, syndication and financing.

Steven Cohen, CPA

Principal, Biltmoor Group


Steven Cohen is the former President of Standard Management Company who previously served as Chief Financial Officer for a private family real estate office in Los Angeles.  He advises our clients on asset and portfolio management, acquisitions and corporate and family matters related to managing risks and costs while maximizing performance.  Steven has served as President, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Asset Management and as a partner, principal and advisory board member with real estate investment and management companies for 25 years.  In his asset management role he focuses on achieving high quality operational standards, while driving  leasing of commercial real estate.  Steven began his career in public accounting and maintains an active CPA license. Additionally he is a licensed real estate broker in California and Florida. Steven graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1992, and he currently lives in Los Angeles.

George Koo, CPA, CFA

CEO & Chief Investment Officer, Clearmark Partners, LLC

George Koo advises our clients on real estate investments and finance and he originally joined Landmark Equity Properties in 2016 as a Consultant advising on real estate and mortgage matters.  He is CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Clearmark Partners, LLC, an SEC Registered Investment Advisor that he founded in 2009.  George is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).  He received a Master in International Relations from Harvard University, and an MBA in Finance and a BS in Accounting from St. John’s University.  George is currently a PhD candidate in Business Information Technology, specializing in Machine Learning at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.  Previously, he has held many senior management positions in investment management and banking and he has 35 years of real estate investment management experience.

David Rosenthal, MAI, FRICS

President & CEO, Curtis-Rosenthal, Inc. 

David Rosenthal is President and CEO of Curtis - Rosenthal, Inc., a national real estate appraisal and consulting firm that is affiliated with Landmark Equity Properties as the exclusive provider of property valuation, due diligence and  financial analysis for our clients.  David established his firm in 1983 and he has provided real estate consulting services to property owners for 37 years.  Additionally, David is a partner in the development of 6 grocery anchored shopping centers in the Southeastern U.S.  He holds the MAI and FRICS Certifications and he received a BS in Finance from the University of Florida and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.  David serves as Chairman of the Los Angeles Mortgage Association and he is Co-Chairman of the Commercial Real Estate Division of Jewish National Fund in Los Angeles.
